When it comes to 90’s JDM Tuning shops, Abflug is one of the top dogs. Most notable for the Toyota Supra’s they tuned, the Mazda RX7’s Nissan 300ZX and Nissan Skyline were all top notch. The Work Rezax Roar are lightweight JDM Wheels from Work Wheels with an unusual feature; they are designed with staggered fitment with more dish on the rear wheels than the front. The Work Rezax Roar are one piece JDM Wheels with a covered lug area with a hex nut and ring which gives them a smooth yet aggeressive appearance. The 5Zigen N1R DIV.3 were one of the prominent JDM Wheels of the 90’s. More commonly called the 5Zigen DIV3, the 5Zigen N1R DIV.3 were mid range JDM wheels in terms in pricing due to its one piece cast construction. Most commonly, you would see the 5Zigen DIV3 mounted to Honda Civic and Acura Integra, but as pictured fitments were available for Toyota MR2 Sw20, Mazda Miata NA, Nissan 240sx s13, and Nissan Primera. The Toyota Century is the ultimate Luxury-Mobile to come out of Japan, and all of asia for that. The Toyota Century is the car you get chauffeured in if you are a dignitary, diplomat or even the president. The Century made its debut in 1967 and didn’t get a redesign until 1997; now in 2018 we get its latest redition. The most noteable change, and a very popular automotive trend lately is the “downgrade” in powertrain. The SSR Casablanca 8 are JDM Wheels by Japanese wheel manufacturer SSR Wheels. This beautiful set of SSR Casablanca 8, sit nicely on an aired out Toyota Starlet KP61. More interestingly, this KP61 Starlet made its way to Long Beach, CA all the way from Hawaii to attend the 2017 Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS 2017)! Dressed in TOM’S RACING livery this Toyota Starlet was definitely a crowd pleaser.
The Bolzanos lineup of VIP wheels look to have an american style to them, reminiscent of an application you may see on a chevy truck. The Bolzanos SAVAGE has a twin six spoke design with covered lug nut, with a chrome finish. Similar to the Savage, the Bolzanos SPHINCK has a twin seven spoke design in chrome with a covered lug nuts. The Bolzanos MARIAGE has a five wrapped five spoke design and exposed lug nuts, in this case resembling other more common Japanese VIP Wheels. On the ohter hand we have the Bolzanos Vancleef with more of a european style; slightly reminiscent to the Breyton Magic or something from Hartge. The Bolzanos B.A.E SS1 is a two piece wheel with a 5 spoke design and open lug area. The Bolzanos B.A.E MARIAGE is similar to the regular Bolzanos MARIAGE but with two piece construction. The Bolzanos B.A.E MS has a split spoke performance look similar to the BBS LM or Work VS-XX, but with a slightly different look. The Greffuhle GV-5 by Yokohama are JDM Wheels made for off road JDM trucks. The Greffuhle GV-5 are made for a special segment of the Japanese car community that likes to dress up JDM Trucks and offroad vehicles with aluminum wheels and certain style of shiny bars, lights and racks, more notably from JAOS.
