The Racing Hart C2 and by Racing Hart C5 by Takechi Project are JDM Wheels from the height of the tuner craze. The Racing Hart Type C2 was the update the the original Racing Hart Type C. I believe the main differences of the Racing Hart C2 is the center cap has an aluminum center in lieu of the carbon fiber setup, the faces have a polished / diamond cut finished instead of painted silver and I believe theres only one bigger size face 18″+ where the Racing Hart Type C had 2 sizes for 16″ and 17″+. The SSR Defi Challenge Fin aka SSR Defi are one of the most Coveted JDM Wheels of all time. The SSR Defi are a directional fin type wheel made by SSR Wheels aka Speedstar Racing. The SSR Defi Challenge Fin features the SSR Electron Lock system made popular on the SSR EX-C Fin, SSR EX-C Mesh the Racing Hart Super Fin and many other JDM Wheels. The Honda NSX-R / Honda NSX Type R is another JDM Super Car that never made it to US Soil. Although we did get the regular NA1 and NA2 Honda NSX models, the JDM Gods again thought we Americans were not worthy of the uncompromised version. This nice example of a NA1 Honda NSX-R looks to be further lightly modified with a set of BBS LM Wheels with gold faces (which are made in Japan, btw) and a MOMO Tuner Steering Wheel. The Washialumi Asteroid Spoke Mesh are rare JDM Wheels that were produced in the late 1980’s. As the name implies, the Washialumi Asteroid Spoke Mesh have a overall star pattern design, but the spokes have a mesh pattern, hence the spoke mesh designation. The Enkei M5F Aero Bortex are practically like having 5 sets of JDM Wheels in one. The base wheel of the Enkei M5F Aero Bortex has a similar look to the more popular Enkei 92, but with different covering options. From left to right: a flat cap option, a hex cap center lock style option, a dust cap center cap style option, a tinted clear poly-carbonate option, and lastly a full aero turbofan style option.
The MUGEN CR-X PRO Honda CR-X is a great looking interpretation from the guys at MUGEN POWER. The MUGEN CR-X PRO had a full body kit including flared fenders which have the tiny CR-X a muscular look. The wheels predate Mugen branded wheels, but I believe are FORTRAN ASSO JDM Wheels which make sense since Mugen used FORTRAN on the Mugen MR-5.
The 5Zigen N1R DIV.3 were one of the prominent JDM Wheels of the 90’s. More commonly called the 5Zigen DIV3, the 5Zigen N1R DIV.3 were mid range JDM wheels in terms in pricing due to its one piece cast construction. Most commonly, you would see the 5Zigen DIV3 mounted to Honda Civic and Acura Integra, but as pictured fitments were available for Toyota MR2 Sw20, Mazda Miata NA, Nissan 240sx s13, and Nissan Primera.
