The Mugen CF-48 are JDM Wheels that used an aero design. The The Mugen CF-48 has had several nicknames such as the clutch wheels and the manhole covers. The center area does have a clutch like appearance to help draw air from the brakes. An optional aero cover was also available to help the air and for aerodynamics. Every time I see pictures of this pictures Acura Integra on SSR Full Reverse Mesh I get a little Jealous. A few years ago, I picked up a clean Non Molested Paradise Blue Green Acura Integra GS-R, got a great deal on some Racing Hart CP-F Tuners and the car gets stolen. All they stole were the wheels, seats and system. SSR Full Reverse Mesh is the sister wheel to the SSR Formula Mesh. The Mesh face is mounted differently, with the flat side out (non stepped) register is mounted differently so the face takes up the full space inside the rim. The Racing Hart Type-C Tracer is the 5 spoke version of its original brother mesh: The Racing Hart Type-C. Many parts of the the wheels are the same, but the 2 notable different parts are obviously the face (5 spoke vs Mesh) and the Dishes, or plates, that cover the lug nuts. – Racing Hart Tracers on DC Acura Integra

While surfing the web I found some pictures of some Rebarreled Mugen CF-48 wheels and thought what a great look they had when rebarreled. Then I saw these shots of the same wheels at the KDAY Season 2 car show taken by Shota Mori for Stickydiljoe.com. – Rebarreled Mugen CF-48 on JDM DA Acura Integra
The KDAY car show is a USDM influenced car show in Japan, basically them copying us, many times from us copying them. Shota Mori is from Akebono USDM fame, they build some sick Honda’s in Japan, he has the old school white Accord with flip up lights and also the white EF Civic.
