The SSR AERO unofficaily the SSR Development are JDM Wheels by Speed Star Wheel / SSR WHEELS. The The SSR AERO features 2 piece welded construction with the barrel bolted to the internally finned aero face. The SSR AERO all complete with center caps and all is a very rare sight, as I have never seen a set. The SSR Aero JDM Wheels in this image are bolted to a AE86 Toyota Corolla Levin in period corrext 1984 style.
SSR Formula Mesh is one of the most popular JDM Wheels of all time. Produced in the 80’s The SSR Formula mesh is a simple 2 piece wheel, with a mesh face bolted with 20 bolts in to a welded barrel with a stepped lip. Speed Star Racing also made the SSR MK I, SSR MK II and SSR MK III wheels as pictured; thier classic JDM wheel line wich introduces the 3 piece wheel. Also pictured is the SSR Star Formula, a 6 spoke race inspired wheel. JDM Wheels – SSR Formula Mesh, SSR Star Formula, SSR MK I, SSR MK II, SSR MK IIII always wondered about the SSR Formula Mesh ith the rounded center portion, and it seems it was the design for Speed Star Racing produced for 16″ models; the smaller sizes get the regular Star shaped center sections. Later all SSR Formula Mesh models got the Star shaped centers up to 18inches. I personally think the 5 lug star centers look the best. Every time I see pictures of this pictures Acura Integra on SSR Full Reverse Mesh I get a little Jealous. A few years ago, I picked up a clean Non Molested Paradise Blue Green Acura Integra GS-R, got a great deal on some Racing Hart CP-F Tuners and the car gets stolen. All they stole were the wheels, seats and system.
