While surfing the web I found some pictures of some Rebarreled Mugen CF-48 wheels and thought what a great look they had when rebarreled. Then I saw these shots of the same wheels at the KDAY Season 2 car show taken by Shota Mori for Stickydiljoe.com. – Rebarreled Mugen CF-48 on JDM DA Acura Integra
The KDAY car show is a USDM influenced car show in Japan, basically them copying us, many times from us copying them. Shota Mori is from Akebono USDM fame, they build some sick Honda’s in Japan, he has the old school white Accord with flip up lights and also the white EF Civic. Stickydiljoe.com aka The Chronicles is a website with awesome Honda and other Import related articles and coverage. If you haven’t been there, bookmark his page now!: http://stickydiljoe.com/
This is the Money Shot, the Mugen CF-48 Road wheel rebarreled on a 15″ rim; I think it looks so much better! The Mugen CF-48 started life as a light weight road wheel from Mugen and could be had with optional disk covers that aid in cooling. – Rebarreled Mugen CF-48 on JDM DA Acura Integra
Rear view of the JDM Honda Integra, I believe that is a OEM Integra body kit bolted on, I dont think I see many of those here or in Japan. – Rebarreled Mugen CF-48 on JDM DA Acura Integra
The Mugen CF-48 wheels off the car, they really have deep lips and I think look a lot more aggresive in this size. – Rebarreled Mugen CF-48 on JDM DA Acura Integra
Another shot of the rear wheel, must be at leat 3-4 inches inches of lip. I wonder if someone would do this over here. I would love to see this in person. – Rebarreled Mugen CF-48 on JDM DA Acura Integra
The same Integra with regular sized CF48’s, what a huge difference. Looks like the wheels had stepped lips before the current flat lips. – Rebarreled Mugen CF-48 on JDM DA Acura Integra
Closer look of the wheels before and after, again with the stepped lips. I think the reverse lip, or flat lip, matches the face of the CF-48s better. – Rebarreled Mugen CF-48 on JDM DA Acura Integra
