The Hasemi Sport S5 are JDM Wheels with a little racing pedigree; as they were made for the Hasemi racing Team in Japan. The Hasemi Sport S5 are made by SSR Wheels and feature their classic 2 piece construction, with the face bolted in a 20 bolt barrel. Hasemi Sport S5 also utilizes the Speedstar Racing electron locking mechanism on the center caps which aids in theft prevention. Shown are the Hasemi Sport S5 on a Z32 Nissan 300ZX Fairlady Z.
The Tomei Racing Turbo are Old School JDM Wheels with a unique Turbo or Aero design to aid in brake cooling and possibly pulling air out from under the car. The Tomei Racing Turbo also features directional pattern on each side, pretty cool to have a staggered set of wheels that are unique to each side. Watanabe makes the quintessential Banana Type 8 spoke JDM wheels in a few different yet similar styles. Due to the spoke shape and lip size, I believe the Watanabe wheels pictures are both the Watanabe F8 type. On the left is a Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo Fairlady Z32, and on the right a Nissan Skyline GT-R R32; both some beautiful Machines.
The Dunlop Super Xiphos are JDM Wheels that really were not as popular as many others, but definitely had a really cool look to them. The Dunlop Super Xiphos are 3 piece wheels which feature a classic 5 spoke star design with exposed bolts on mounted on top of the lip. Rounded edges of the spoke give the Super Xiphos a unique look from other popular 5 spoke wheels of the time. Pictured in the ad are the Super Xiphos mounted to a Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX Z32 series.
Carving Stark I, Carving Stark II, Carving Stark III – The Carving Stark Wheels are JDM Wheels targetted to the European Market; I actually have sseen some end up in Germany. They Carving Stark series are also the JDM Wheel series with the infamous Twist, they are directional to each side. The ad shows Carving Stark II on a Toyota Soarer, Carving Stark I on a Nissan Gloria, an Carving Stark III on a Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX Z32. The German Print on the advertisement translates to “The rims of the brand “Stark [Strong]” stand for German history and tradition that stems from the cradle of European Cars and improve the handling of your car.”Carving Stark I, Carving Stark II, Carving Stark III – Here is a close up of the wheel portion of the ad; please excuse the poor scan. I believe the Stark I is offered in 15″ and 16″ Sizes, and the Stark II and III are offered in 16″ & 17″ sizing. The Carving Starks are in fact Manufactured by JDM Wheel Manufacturer Work Wheels.
