Riverside Super River is one of the rarest of the rare in JDM Wheels. The Riverside Super River looks like someone took an impeller wheel out of a giant turbo and made a 2 piece jdm wheel out of it.The Riverside Super River are mounted to this familiar and beautiful KPGC110 Nissan Skyline. These Riverside Super River looked flawless, a view that I have never seen in person before. I wonder if those are original specs on these old school JDM Wheels. These wheels are definitely my highlight of JCCS 2017.
Although there is a nice s14 Nissan Silvia on Modex KS-05R pictured; my favorite items on this page are the Modex Dori Dori wheels more commonly known as the SSR Dori Dori Mesh, and the Modex Keiichi Tsuchiya Steering Wheel pictured below. The Modex Dori Dori / SSR Dori Dori Mesh are a gorgeous 2 piece (really 3 piece welded) wheel with split spoke mesh face and stepped SSR Formula barrels. The Modex Keiichi Tsuchiya Steering Wheel is a rare cool piece from the drift king with slanted spokes much like a Nardi Side Spoke steering wheel. Also noted is there are 3 versions os the Modex KS-05 wheel. It seems the main difference of the Modex KS-05 and the Modex KS-05R is the slanted lip on the Modex KS-05R and the squared off lip on the Modex KS-05; with that being said there is the Modex KS-CE which has an extended stepped lip.
The Racing Direction BENE-D and Racing Direction BENE DTM are JDM Wheels with a bit of a lixurious look. Both feature a 5 Spoke / 5 Hole face design and multi-piece construction. the Racing Direction BENE-D features a stepped lip and exposed fasteners foe a nice aggressive look; while the Racing Direction BENE DTM has hidden hardware eith bigger face and reverse mount for a smoother look. Both the Racing Direction BENE-D & Racing Direction BENE DTM are Rare JDM Wheels and fit the bill for a performance or VIP look.
The Racing Hart Rev are JDM Wheels that were popular during the 90’s. Produced by Takechi Project the Racing Hart Rev were actually made by Work Wheels. The Racing Hart Rev feature a muscular 5 spoke design, with 3 piece sandwich mount construction and stepped lips. Sizing was available in 15″-17″ diameters and widths up to 10.5″. There even is a rare high disk model. Pictured above is a JDM Toyota Soarer on 17″ Racing Hart Rev.
The Desmond Promoda Cresendo are JDM Wheels that have more of a VIP flare to them. Full thick spokes give a spartan look, and Gold Bolts and Logos give it that luxurious look. Desmond is of course known for their Regamaster line of wheels, this is one of their more rare offerings. Pictured are the Desmond Promoda Cresendo on a Y32 Nissan Gloria.
The KIC SWC-R are rare JDM Wheels made by SSR Wheels. The KIC SWC-R feature a mesh face in a 2 piece wheel design. I dont recall seeing any sets of the KIC SWC-R in person or online which must make it one of the more rare JDM Wheels than most. Pictured are the KIC SWC-R mounted to a S13 Nissan Silvia.
JDM Wheels – SSR GPO & SSR Alcyber by Speed Star Racing. If you were an old school JDM Wheel Whore in the mid-late 90’s you have to know everyone wanted two wheels, the SSR GPO and the Racing Hart Type-C; here is a rare wheel scan of the SSR GP-O and SSR Alcyber. Some people have referred them as SSR GP Omega due to the greek symbol, but that is actually a Theta symbol to make it the SSR GP Theta. The SSR GP-O is a two piece mesh wheel with a faux centerlock design really being the center cap; a very popular design at the time. The SSR Alcyber is the 5 spoke brother to the SSR GPO also with the faux centerlock center cap. Both wheels state sizing from 16×7 to 18×9.5, but I have seen 16×6.5 and 18×10 from the Speed Star Racing factory. Now does anyone else see similarities in the SSR wheels GPO and the Racing Hart Type C; or the SSR wheels Alcyber and Racing Hart Tracer? Well just about every JDM wheel manufacturer had a mesh and 5 spoke design at this time.
